About the Learning Gateway
The Learning Gateway at the Carlisle campus is the focus for the College’s flexible and distributed learning aspirations, bringing together a completely new community of learners with different support needs. The Learning Gateway is different from other College buildings. It will bring together learners, tutors and support professionals in ways that foster truly independent learning, working in partnership, enabled by state of the art ICT facilities.
The aim is to provide complete flexibility to learners and tutors so that the space can be adapted to a variety of learning needs by either group. It combines social and informal space with flexi-rooms that can be configured in a variety of formations. Student involvement in its operationalisation will be central to its success.
It is also the new home of the LIS Learning Gateway team and the CDLT at Carlisle.

Monday to Thursday: 8.30am - 8.45pm
Friday: 8.30am - 4.45pm
Saturday and Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.45pm
Vacation Time:
Monday to Friday: 9.00am - 4.45pm
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Book a Laptop in the Learning Gateway
Laptop PCs can also be booked for use anywhere in the Learning Gateway. To do this, please have your Library borrower number ready, and visit the Library Catalogue.
