You will need an ATHENS username and password to access netLibrary. You should have been sent an email to your College email account with this information. If you haven't received it or have forgotten your username, please look at the ATHENS web page for information on how to get it.

If you are accessing netLibrary from off-campus you need to click on the Athens users, log in here link first, and then put in your ATHENS username on the next page. Don’t put your ATHENS details in the username and password box on the netLibrary home page – it won’t work!.

The College has purchased 7 200 netLibrary electronic books (eBook) titles, making available to students and staff full text content from leading publishers from your desktop - on and off campus. The NetLibrary collection has recently reduced in size. We are currently reviewing our eBook subscriptions and will be considering complimentary collections in the near future.

The agreement has been made possible through the College’s membership of the North West Academic Libraries consortium. NoWAL is a collaborative arrangement between the libraries of higher education institutions across the region. St Martin’s is one of 13 libraries within NoWAL who have signed up to the agreement (plus Keele University). The provider, OCLC - a leading host of electronic materials and related services based in Ohio, have facilitated the deal with NoWAL. They are the foremost provider of eBooks worldwide.

Please get in touch with your subject contact for further information or if you need help using netLibrary.
